Description

A mandala-ish composition , uniting priestesses and flowers in an ethereal image . Based on a hand drawing , texturised in Artmatic pro 4 , with some pre and post work in photoshop

hey boblog , thanks for your comment The basic outlines of the image was a simple handmade inked drawing that I scanned . I then created an artmatic system that was as close as possible to the shapes I needed . I started from one of the botanic presets and after a lot of parameter tweaking came up with one keyframe for the flowers and one for the priestesses . I made a few more artmatic presets for the blue corona on the outside too I the imported it all into photoshop . I simply masked the right areas so that no artmatic texture would spill outside of the edges , shifted the colors using hue/saturation so that they would sit nice next to each other , and I then texturised (bevel/emboss , etc) the original black inked outlines . The corona was made almost completely transparant to give that ethereal effect .
