Description
The right hand ship - a French Galleon circa 1500's - was modelled by me with trueSpace 6.6.
The left hand ship - a Dutch frigate of similar vintage - was modelled with trueSpace 7.11. The image was rendered with tS 7.11 with the wakes added in post using The GIMP.
I was aiming to reproduce the feeling of those old maritime ship paintings. One thing is sure; that little ship is well outgunned by the big one!
This may well be my last ship picture for a while as tS 7.5 is due to be released anytime now and I'll be focussed on getting to grips with it's new character modelling tools.

wonderful modeling job!! it was always fun to build those models years ago as a kid! the detail here is great. i would work on the water a bit(IMHO). it looks a bit "flat" to me. other than that, this render is awesome! -chachi

Excellent work, Stephen! Your modeling skills always leave me in a puddle of awe! And your artistic ability to put it all together into a scene is right on! What a gift you have! This battle scene is magnificent - you have truly accomplished what you set out to do - it has that look of the old paintings and yet even better! I can't wait to see what you accomplish with TS 7.5!
