Description

Notes: With the Release of Rev Fuggot's new World Eater textures for obiwan's Marines as well as textures for the Thousand Sons I was very excited to test out these new textures, he did an awesome job on them. In celebration of these new packs, I took the time to finally make Chaos backpacks for them as well as my own Black Legion project. It's long been a sore point for me that there are no Chaos backpacks for the Marines. Using a combination of the Rev's horns from his new khorn world eaters set, a series of primatives, and Royloo's skull as well as the orginal obiwan space marine packs, I was able to finally create fairly decent Chaos back packs for the troops which makes me very happies. ^^ In addtion I came up with a new Chaplin helm which also did not turn out half badly I think. In short it's been rather a fun day with new toys to play with and new ideas. You can find a better description of how I made the packs, pictures of the new Chaplin helm, and also the two new packs by Rev for the chaos marines over at DAZ in the freepostory 40K thread. I'm also pleased to use Bronson's great chain sword texture once more in this render, it looks great with the Chaos boys especially given it's worn appearance. Well off to comment on what the rest of you folks have been up too and then too bed I think. ^^

Absolutely the most interesting (for me) render yet. I love the "Chaotics" but find the background even more of interest. Well posed, too.

Obviously, this pict must have been taken by a recon psyber skull as these two traitor marines were fleeing the wrath of the Emperor!

Fantastic armours, the helmets are so original looks like something mayan or aztec the blood god must be so glad with this tribute XD!!! Try make the fire as 2 lights in 3d one white closer to the gun and other yellow a little outer this light the mech as the shot is actually here but do not do it at 3d try to make it as a postwork like this, then you make it on photoshop as a vector at 80% transparency and 12-24 points of gaussian blur, when you add it it looks like a true fire of gun!!! My next upload must be a mech firing to show you this effect!!! Have a nice week CrimsonDesire.

Another great showing Crimson. That was really inventive with the backpack and your new version of the Chaplain helm will look nice rendered out. Great work on it all.

I remember I dpwnloaded a bunch of those Warhammer models and after opening them I thought they looked way too basic to do anything with. Shows how much I know, you have completely rocked these guys out. Fantastic textures on each and everyone, and great action scenes. This one is my favorite though. Excellent work.
