Description

For those who dont know - I use Poser mainly to set up virtual models and/or scenes which are then painted in watercolor. As I was asked by some, here is another watercolor and the Poser image that was used as a guide for it. I know the color scheme for the interior design is awful, as you can see havnt used it in the watercolor study. This was done a couple of month ago. I have since moved to a more 'evolved' scene http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1433247&member Hopefully not to long for the full size watercolor. Comments from experts, beginners, passers-by favorable or critical, all really very welcome EDIT: You can comment on the watercolor itself, or on the relation between the watercolor and the Poser image. If you want to comment on the poser image only, perhaps best if you look at the post mentioned above, since that one resolved some issues and added some new features. Thanks for your time

Hi. Im starting to get confused. Dont know whether you want a comment on the watercolor or the Poser image. Personally, I like the watercolor, a lot. And would like to make suggestions on the Poser image as well. But since this is a Poser area am I right? dont think its appropiate to extend on comments over the watercolor artwork, which Im sure that would be better received and appreciated in 2D areas.

It's all in the details. I love the final watercolor, the detail that really tickles me, and in my opinion makes the image, is her foot atop his, with the toes curled. Great detail!

Are these meant to be a pair?.... I like the idea... gives an interesting contrast. Lou

Very good painting, this style has resolved the issue of the hand pose. I see you have radically changed the colour scheme to a more pastel affair, but I think you have lost some dramatic tension along with that...

Again, as in previous pictures, the watercolor shows more your emotional side and the digital shows your rational and controlled side. I like the watercolor a lot. The hint of red through the window was an excellent touch, symbolizing (to me) the fire of passion.

I see you're using Poser in the way it was originally intended to be used...a drawing/painting tool. Using poser to position your figures, using them as models, along with using the lighting to get an idea of the shadows is the perfect way to set up a scene as a basis for a drawing or painting. You have a real flair with a brush, and a good eye for detail. Now that's what I call Art!

The watercolor is really beautiful! If it had just been the poser version, I probably wouldn't have commented because while its a nice scene, there's not much life to it. After you worked your magic on it though, it turned into a really outstanding piece :D Cheers!

What a huge improvement in the watercolor version :) So much more inviting and lively than the render. Looking forward to the move evolved version that you mentioned, thanks for putting this one up. Very lovely.

I envy people who can draw or paint, and this is a great example. How the Poser images looks, is really irrelevant since it is only a guide. The painting is an improvement. :)

I love what you've done with the watercolor in comparison with the poser study. Compositionally, I think you could lose up to an inch off of each side of the painting, unless the final verion has other objects in those empty spaces. Other than that, it's a good painting so far.

I love that you've shown the 3d inspiration for your watercolor. I think it illustrates nicely why watercolor and traditional mediums need not fear being replaced by 3d. Same subject and pose, but so much more of the artist to read in the watercolor. Very beautiful, love the use of color and texture.

I realy like the soft pastel colors and the compostion also. I also like how the 2 peeps melt together in the water color painting. The shadows are much softer there than in the poser image,i like that,it also makes the details stand out better, like her feet under his, moving it..lol. A pleasure to view.
