very nice photo of these tulips, great colors & I like the dof. glad you got the camera figured out. my experiences have been the manuals are written for a different language than whomever is trying to read it :) nice job

Are you giving up on daisies in favor of tulips now? A pleasant view in any case. Sorry to hear about your initial foray into DSLR land. I have to admit that you attrition number are fairly close to mine. I still take lousy shots. You say you've figured things out, but I think setting it to the lowest F/stop and auto everything else would have given you some pleasing blur-sharp-blur captures on your first outing -- much like this one. Congrats on the new camera!

What gorgeous colours these tulips are and I'd walk through them with you any time!!!!! Isn't coming to terms with a new camera just so frustrating but, as I say to the kids at school, "practise makes perfect"!!!!! Eileen xxxxx

Lovely colours, nice capture! As Kort says your lost shots are much the same as mine and I think you'll find many photographer.

This is a very cool shot, regardless of your attrition rate. You can only post so many pictures! The trash can is my friend. I love the light, especially on the stems and leaves. It's so . . . Spring-like! Lovely.

Well I think you've captured this brilliantly! I love the dark contrasts, they show off the colours beautifully and a touch over 40% success rate......I think anybody would be more than happy with that - I can shoot over 200 shots and if I come back and have half a dozen gallery-worthy ones to pick from, I'm elated!!! Wonderful shot with top-dollar DOF!! xx

Let me be the first to say... Forty-One!!! Oh my gosh! I'll be trip-toe happy by the end of your series. LOL! Interesting photo here and the color is very vibrant. Not sure if I like the blur-sharp-blur but that might be because I'm still working on no-blur photos with my own camera. :-)
