Commentary: Earlier today during an email exchange, I learned that Diane (AKA: rainbow's Gallery) has been under the weather for the last two weeks, so I would like to dedicate this photograph to her in the hope that it might brighten her day. May her recovery be swift as the magician's hands!
I would also like to extend my sincerest appreciation to all those who stopped my gallery, as I was deeply touch by the overwhelming response to my previous upload especially since it came upon a day that just did not seem in synchronized. It certainly felt like 'chicken soup for the soul'. A special thank you to all.

Egmont, to me the colored ones are the best of your iris series. I have always thought color should play a bigger part in your works, especially when you focus on flowers....a wonderful petal wave and compo make these works really outstanding pieces of art

Absolutely stunning composition. This is truly magnificent photography Egmont. The flower looks "alive" with so many textures and curves. The colours are perfect (my favourite colour is purple!) and the DOF too. Di will love this, anybody would love it, but Di will be thrilled and she has been very poorly so hopefully this will brighten her day as she brightens ours. Excellent piece of art. xx

Absolutely lovely! I'm overwhelmed by this image, as it is breath-taking and leaves on stricken with awe. So gently composed, so very well structured and such careful balance and layout. Far from simple, yet not over-perplexed, and yet still, so magnificent! I love the veins that are exposed on what I would call the "gates" or the opening petals, which invite one within, into a "deeper dimension". Reminds me of fairy wings, in many ways, and brings a smile to my face. A very intricate and special image, my friend... one that is deserving of much more praise and applaud that can be extended through words. I can only tell you that you are a phenomenal artist with great talent!
