I know why boots and shoes for that matter are so confining!! This looks like an excellent place to take them off!! Bravo!!

LOL....Good morning my dear friend. I have the same type of hiking shoes. Must be nice to take off and remove them for a breather or two. Our hikes are a little different. Not allowed to remove boots over the hot lava except if a rock goes inside. Looking forward for more of your hikes and foot prints. What a great idea. Excellent. Aloha

The interesting philosophical approach to a photo. I photograph the boots and I name "have left", and at you it turns out "have come":)

this photograph reminds me of: (a) a childhood memory of an Israeli Army ceremony after the 6 Day War in memeory of their dead; (b) a Nancy Sinatra song. I prefer the Nancy Sinatra Song: "These boots are made for walking..." Keep on living and walking without the 'orrible coffin' nails

The only times you might find shoes of any sort on my feet are when I go grocery shopping, to doctor or dentist and to work. I abhore footwear. Nice shot of the boots but I adore the fallen tree! Excellent compo.

With that gorgeous grassy hill, I would too! In fact, I would probably be dancing all over the place...unless there were people around. Then I would have to behave or they might call the men with white coats. lol I think you idea for a collection is fabulous. I look forward to seen all the place your boot do take you. I know your boots and I will become good friends, like you and I. Hugs, Suzanne x:D

Rozanne, I have worn boots for over 35 years, and need the support, but yes, it is great to take them off. Unfortunately, I cannot get them back on again afterwards. When I take them off, I am at home, AND I am not going out again, for some time. I hope that you enjoyed your Lake District trek, and that weather in Catalunya has improved. Regards, John..

. . . or perhaps your boots are building a collection of places you have taken them! hehe! Love the old sideways tree - still going strong! This looks like a nice place to go barefoot.
