Description

This donkey has a sheepdog as his best friend. They are always together but the dog runs away when it sees me coming. Lake District, England. Thou, who hast given me the eyes to see and love this sight so fair Give me a heart to find out there and read thee everywhere.

Rozanne, that is an inspired poem full of love. My heart sings reading your beautiful words. Thank is such a humble little donkey. How lucky he and the dog are to have each other for best friends. I think I could sit quietly and watch the two of them for hours as they share their unconditional love and friendship. Thank you so much for this truly lovely image and poem. Hugs, Suzanne x:)

A touching poem, Rozanne. Nice to see it here in a secluded spot. The donkey is trying to tell you that he is the dog's agent, and requires a carrot or two for a joint photo.. ;o) I trust that you enjoyed your sojourn in the Lakes, and that it was dry. Gale force winds and heavy rain this morning, here in the East End. Regards, John.

I remember that donkey and the 7 dogs and a couple of chickens I cared for a couple of days, it was a mess :( Esp. the donkey always put his ears back whenever I came closer, the next day a chicken died and also the dogs had something to criticize :) A lot of memories caused by your photo, looks peaceful, but is deceptive :)

It's so cool that there's a poem on the fence! Also, that the dog and donkey are buddies. Great shot, Rozanne!
