Description
Another rhododendron! (Commenting available on "Sonata.")
Somewhere I mentioned that not all rhododendrons end up being the same color they start out to be. (I think it was on a photo MrsLubner did for me. It was totally beautiful, of course!) Take a look at the buds here - they're a pale pink. The open flower is white.
I have one in my yard that goes through an even more dramatic color change. I'm faithfully taking pictures as it blooms, and will be sure to show you this amazing and tricky flower once the series is complete.
