I have been writing stories and poetry all of my life. My interest in art began when my Dad held my hand when I was about two years old and helped me to draw a face. Since then I have progressed through pencils and crayons through water colours and oils and finally I am doing most of my art on the computer. I have created all of the illustrations in my books and have a substantial art gallery here at Renderosity. I was born in England and travelled to Australia with my family when I was ten years old. We moved to Mount Gambier when I was a child and I returned here in the early 90s and have lived here since. My early life was filled with books and reading and every Christmas we always received a story book of some kind. I remember our book shelves being filled with the works of Kipling, Shakespeare, H. G. Wells, Jules Verne and Edgar Allen Poe, to name a few, together with a good smattering of Enid Blyton and many other children's authors. That early contact with books at my mother's knee inspired a love of reading and writing for which I will always be thankful.

By the way. Profit is spelled correctly. This book is a spoof, a humorous joke to be enjoyed. To find out more about the Profit of the doG and why she is called by that name...... Well you know what you need to do LOL. The url is http://www.lulu.com/content/849644 The images within the book were all made in Poser and were postworked to varying degrees but mainly using ZenLiner2. Thanks for looking.

Two suggestions for having me enjoy the picture even more (I suppose): 1) Make the doG a bit more transparent (I didn't notice that it already is, until I really scrutinized). 2) You seem to have paid great attention to my comments on the front cover font. How about using "front" pink for the (currently black) outline of the characters? (I might have added "lower case only" for further mirroring, but this text looks very case sensitive.) 3) I notice a striking resemblance between the face of this doG and your signature image. ;-) 4) I would like to know if these questions are answered in the book: - To be or not to be? - Why did the chicken cross the road? ;-)

In response to Chris: 1)The cover is fait accompli and already graces the back of the book. I am sharing this with the people who previously looked at some of the illustrations and anyone else who may be interested. 2) For reasons above I took absolutely no notice of your comments Chris. LOL. This cover was made some time ago in preparation for the publishing. 3) The face of this dog is obviously a self portrait. 4) The reason the chicken crossed the road is still a mystery to me but I believe others have answered this already. To be or not to be? Possibly... you would have to read the book to be sure.

I am delighted and privileged to have played even a small part in the creation of your novel, Jo! Proof reading is an essential part of writing, not that difficult, but almost impossible to do with your own work -- you KNOW what you wrote, even if what you put on "paper" is not exactly what you "see" in your mind when you re-read! Our minds are simply too good at unconsciously fixing typos and such. To my knowlege, this is the first use of ZenLiner in published creative writing, and so this is an exciting and rewarding time here at Zenware as well. The ending of The Journey hints at further adventures, and so you should encourage Jo to write (and illustrate!) more by going to Lulu and buying her book! best wishes, Dan http://www.zenwareonline.com for CR2Edit6, Zuite, OBJExtractor and OBJRelocator, ZenLiner, and the complete line of Zenware graphics apps

Congratulations on getting the book published, Jo. I love the back cover. The dog and the star field are great and the font is perfect. Hope to see you at the top of the bestsellers lists. -Alan
