Description
These stone carvings were believed to ward off evil spirits with their own grotesqueness. This carving can be seen at the Woodruff Fontaine house at Victorian Village, located at 680 Adams Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee.
The Woodruff Fontaine house is believed to be haunted by the spirit of Mollie Woodruff Henning, the first daughter of the owner of the house. And from what I've been told by friends of those who've worked there, she is not alone.
Other pics of the Woodruff Fontaine house are posted earlier in my gallery.

Love the POV and lighting. Interesting facts about the 3D carving and house. This must mean that Mollie is not an evil spirit, just someone not yet ready to move on.

Great angle, light and pov for this ornamental capture.
