Description
Captured 10/29/06 at the Auto & Copter Expo held annually at the beautiful Armed Forces Reserve Center in beautiful Los Alamitos, California.
Shown is a 1912 Ford, as vintage as any auto photos I have in my folders, on display on the grounds of the vast Reserve Center. Other than jillions of antique/classic cars and jillions of people, there were military vehicles, helicopters, fixed wing aircraft, and tanks on display for easy access, except in the case of a single F-15 fighter sitting out on the tarmac. All in all, a guy thing, if you will.
BTW, I meticulously blurred out the busy backgrounds on many of these pictures for easier viewing. Otherwise it would have been a barrel of worms.
I took over 300 shots out there on that sunny day, with, surprisingly, only a mere five percent attrition rate. If I hadn't had so many other photos in my vast reservoir of pictures, I would have posted this stuff months ago. They are a gorgeous sight to behold, although the ladies might find it extremely boring. But the guys should really dig it! Like, how many touchy-feely flora and fauna photos can you post? Gotta balance the books somewhere down the line.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a superlative work week!

Hey, I think this is just as touchy-feely as the florals. Great shot and a wonderful piece of history.

Beautiful condition - this is really a sexy piece of machinery and lovingly cared for, for nearly 100 years! My only question is........ any colour as long as it's "black" - then why is this in green??? LOL. Only joking. Great capture and super postwork to blur the background out, makes it much easier on the eye to focus on the subject at hand. xx

Wo ho Harry! This is a real autromobil. I love this shot. Look at those seats what a luxury. Very well done!

Not this lady! I could spend half the day at a car show. I don't know much about motors and specs and all that blah blah blah, but I can oooh and aaah with the best of 'em! I'd be sticking my camera under the hood, looking for pretty abstracts, and trying not to pet the cars. Nice photography, by the way! :)

I'm glad to see it hasn't just become one more shopping center. Neither Offenhauser, nor Riley nor Frontenac has touched this with what the recruiter showed me in his garage.

Lovely old cars. I really like the your HDR like postwork and the selective worm blurring.
