Description

I have not been able to apply everything I've learned since "Hiro here". I may want the impossible from older products. So this picture is not a contest submission, but a waypoint. Have a look at http://www.us-net.nl/oldstuff/az_wa2.jpg : my real cat and a morphed trace of my self-made triplex elephant. And perhaps Chuck Jones's animation "the Punch trunk" (Warner). So here is a baby elephant that tries a cat-like jump onto the couch, everything stretched as far as possible (which isn't much, with limits on). I have tinkered with the color, but pink didn't fit. Laura sits on the couch, just in time alerted. I have been able to patch skirt and shirt by morphing, but her hair, sleeve and shirt (belly) clearly aren't right yet. I tried to address these matters (and a lighting issue) after what became the penultimate rendering. Once I had the right poses, I spent quite some time finding a camera angle that would show both much of the elephant and its position and Laura's reaction. The result was not as clear as I wanted, so I decided that the lighting should help. Hence the two spotlights (and a distant light). This couch isn't floating in outer space, so I needed some wall to reflect the lights. I gratefully used a screen as such. I left elaborating on eyes (using wet maps) for later creations. Components, all from DAZ: elephant: Baby Elephant (color by me) girl: Laura (Millennium Kids) hair: Madelia clothes: Millennium Girls Clothing Pack 1 (I think, colors by me) couch: Great Room Furniture - London screen: Elegance for Flight of the Swan

DLG~ this is Marvelous! I can tell how much work you've put into this. Something I noticed, but the shadow of her hand on the sofa doesnt' seem right to me. Over all I love the image.

DLG- Your elephant looks VERY real for being scaled down so much! Your ahdows also appear to fall perfectly in place. Great pic with interesting subject matter, keep it up!
