Description

Captured 10/29/06 at the Auto & Copter Expo held annually at the beautiful Armed Forces Reserve Center in beautiful Los Alamitos, California. Pictured is the same 1912 Ford I posted on 5/14, but from another POV. I strongly believe the item behind the seats, with the four leaf clover on the side, is the gas/petrol tank. Like, what else could it be? Behind that sits a trunk. And the spare tire/tyre of course. Now that's really getting down to basics! The auto is nice, clean, and simple. I also like the stitched material, whatever it is, on the fenders and around the seats and sides. Forget the Bentleys and Rolls-Royces, this is absolute luxury! Thanks for the peek, and do everything I wouldn't do!

Oh yes, and the immaculate paint work proves that it is very well maintained. Great capture of the detail and color.

A fine shot of this butt end of the Ford. A tidy machine it was. My dad once told me his tool kit for his Model T consisted of a hammer, a screwdriver, a pair of pliers and roll of baling wire. :-)

I love the compo on this one. So lovingly cared for and well maintained. That trunk looks in mint condition - now to drive in this would certainly be travelling in style!! xx

Its the color juxtaposed with the orange car. Way cool.

Somehow I had a hunch you did walk this car around and I love the back POV as well. One lucky automobil I think with a 4 clover.

Simple, indeed, without a lot of extra fluff. Clean, spare beauty. (And a beautiful, clean spare!) I like the shadow on the ground, too. Nice capture!

A T-model Speedster. That is the fuel tank behind the seat. Looks a lot like a Stutz Bearcat. Notice multiple pedals to shift the planatary transmission. Almost buckboard in design.

It isn't as it came from the factory. The wheels look like from a Model A. From my perspective it is an interesting car to make as a spline model as it does not curve anywhere in two directions. Making a model or sketch is a bit like running your fingers over the line of words when reading. It's for the less literate but also reveals something of the artisan. As a photograph it's bright and tight enough to the details that no guessing is necessary. You can almost see the hexagon to the lugnuts with the shallow domed heads that the studs do not stick out of.
