Description

No one knows how these strange rock formation came to pass. They date from some unknown battle from the time of the Chaos Wars between the Tech-Knights and the Ancient Wizards. Were they created by magic or by some quantum matter programming weapon? Were they buit for offence or defence? What mysterious purpose lies behind these ancient formations? The answers are unknowable but the waters that rise constantly into the palm have irrigated the local crops now for centuries. The Lord of the region dwells in the castle by the lake, comforted by the certain knowledge that he lives in a very handy location! Everything modelled by me using The GIMP for 2d texture work and various versions of trueSpace for the geometry and rendering. This image has just been selected as winner of the Fantasy Worlds Competition over at 3dcommune.com. I hope you all like it as much as they did ;) As always, comments most welcome.
