Description

"Nothing personal, it's just business." A lovely assassin in liquid metal armour surveying her surroundings, looking for her next prey. Or something like that... --- (Tagging for nudity, because her "body armour" has nipples... you know, like Batman in that horrible movie with the Governator ;) --- As is my habit, I spent way too long on this and it is only close to what I had originally envisioned. The entire inspiration was a tutorial by Bagginsbill on realistic reflections and specifically the bit about car paint flared my imagination. (yeah, let's call it that, we all know I just wanted to create a lovely in shiny inexplicable body armour...lol) Anyway, this took me about 20 hours to set up, 7hours and 20 minutes to render and another five or so hours in Photoshop getting the look right. (I also went insane and rendered additional scenes to put in the windows of the closest building, I just couldn't abide the indescript glowing white.) Well, I hope you enjoy and I would love to hear any thoughts, feedback, comments or criticisms. If you see something that can be improved upon, please feel free to let me know your ideas. Maybe I'll re-visit this again, or, at least, it will help me with my next hairbrained render! LOL. Thanks a ton for stopping by!

Really, really good. I couldn't match it, but since you asked for suggestions, perhaps setting "depth cued" might give a little bit more sense of a perspective of vast cityscape, but hey, that's reaching. Very striking image!

Man what dedication! I composite rendering layers to minimize render times. I also employ a large number of short cuts to 3d modelling, postwork and arrangement of scenes. I rarely spend more than 5 hours from conception to completion on any scene I have made. Also, everything in my gallery was made on my laptop (!) I don't know if any such shortcuts would be of help to you. If so let me know. By the way, great scene. Buildings layer needed a touch of haze to dementionalize them. I love the actor's pose, here.

I love it. The work you did on texturing the scene is evident. The windows look great. I really like the skin texture, and of course the reflections look terrific. I liked the little bits of lens flare on the distant lights. One crit - the street (visible far far below) looks a little rough. I would have expected the lamps to create cleaner pools of light, and I'd expect to see some cars down there. Overall, excellent.
