I do switch off the rating system from now on, because there are some members here who are giving me great comments and than a low rating. On every pic they kill my average. I do not understand that. Why are they not honest? Why do they not write me what they do not like on my pics? :(

Das ist ein großartiges Foto. Es ist egal bei welcher Fotocommunity man ist - auf so eine Bewertungsart sollte man sich nicht einlassen oder sie ignorieren. Das Bewertungssystem taugt nix - anonym sollten Fotos/Bilder eingereicht werden und dann in einem Auswahlverfahren abgestimmt werden. Aber bei der Masse an Bildern und Fotos übersieht man selbst sehr gute, wenn man nur sporadisch hier vorbei sieht. Also schaut man automatisch wo die meisten Klicks gemacht werden, es sei denn man nimmt sich mal die Zeit länger zu verweilen. Manche Seiten sind für mich Selbstläufer, da schaut man immer mal wieder vorbei, aber die sind hier auch ständig zu Gange. Wenn man gute Bewertungen haben will braucht man nur Seiten "zu pflegen" und sich überall kommentarmäßig einklicken und in Erinnerung zu bringen. Wenn man sieht wie viele sich nur durchklicken und nie das full-size Foto ansehen, sagt schon viel aus oder viel vergessen einfach mal das Voten. Ich freue mich jedenfalls, wenn ich mal ein Foto finde das mir wirklich gefällt schaue ich mir auch meistens die ganze Galerie an.

Well, this is breathtaking, IMHO. Where and what is it? Based on the stonework, I'm guessing it predates the 11th Century?

The dilapidated condition of the building, the thick foliage and the dramatic, overcast sky all come together to create a brooding atmosphere. One would have imagined there are vampires resting within! A superb photo!
