Description

Another hidden corner in the woods in New-England. Could be about decay, could be about new life. Could be about learning from nature how to recycle energy resources.

nice pic but i think the dof needs a little work..the fungus is out of focus but the leaves are sharp..i reckon it should be the other way round

Great discovery! What did you do to find these things, did you crawl all over the forest? :-)

I am glad you enjoyed my little discoveries. I posted them to share the fun. Rutra: I nearly fell into the pond trying to capture my previous posted image, and my cloths got caught in the thorny branches above this log, thought I will have to leave some of my cloth behind :) The camera has a bit of zoom, but still have to get quite close. zollster: I agree with you that the mushrooms should be the focus, unfortunately my camera thinks it knows best - in front=focus, further = fuzzy. Is there a way to change this in photoshop or other software?

Maybe you can change the autofocus mode on your camera. I have switched mine from the default "field" mode to a "spot" mode, which basically means that I have to aim for the thing I want to have in focus, then rearange the camera to get the picture I want, then take the picture. I don`t think you can change that in photoshop, but then, I am not an expert for that. Really a good picture.
