Description
First upload from my new Sigma 10-20mm :)
This is actually an entry to a challenge titled "Four elements"... hopefully you can conceptualise how each element plays a role in this shot.
Anyway - not much else to say about this shot except i crouched there for a while getting cramp in my calf waiting for the sand to start blowing again. I've noticed recently that i spend a lot more time actually setting shots up - yesterday's upload was another example of waiting for the shot to "happen", i'm pleased with the results although the effects on various muscles isnt that desirable ;)
Enjoy!
As always view this full because the detail gets ruined by the site compression.

PS - that's a quarter millenia - or whatever you call it... must be some sort of milestone ;)

The color is fantastic in this. And I do like the tilted horizon. I usually dont find them enjoyable, but I rather like this one. Good luck in the challenge as well. -B

This is a wonderful shot Rich, I totally get the 4 elements. M first impression on the angle was that I was a lost soul in a windy dessert and the ocean in front is my mirage of an Oasis. The image quality is really high and no noticeable signs of distortion at this resolution. I agree, we do tend to take a lot of time setting up for shots, but you now what those ones that have a longer set up time than shutter are the ones that are 'keep able'.
