Title: The arrival of winter as autumn passes
Series: Autumn Leaves ~ A last hurrah
Location: Wildcat Canyon Rd., Berkeley, California
Date: December 27, 2005
Image: 22281M1b2s
Camera: Sony DSC-V1, Full Frame
Commentary: The journey continues to unfold slowly like a good book as I begin to comprehend and accept the path I am to travel, a road that still shrouded in mystery, I learn patience is the key to understanding its purpose.
This series symbolizes our need to look around our surroundings in order to understand our future and ourselves, for what is happening to nature will eventually happen to us. We have the inelegance to make change and improve the environment for all living things.
I would wish to thank all of you who stopped by previously and have taken time out to comment so wisely and wished me well. A sincere thanks you to all.
I shall be stopping by your galleries this weekend to view your work and comment.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my work and commenting. Vielen danke das sie die Zeit genommen haben meine Arbeit zu betrachten und darauf zu Kommentieren. Egmont

cameraobscura2
Well my dear friend jean pierre, I plan to be uploading a new series of colour abstracts within the next four weeks in order to balance the variety of photographic subjects. Thank you for asking.
TwoPynts
Yes, balance is so important. I look forward to your walls, but revel in your current crop of fallen leaf photos. And it is a rich viewing bounty.

Good evening to you, Egmont. This is a wonderful work. The fallen leaves express to me the path you were travelling at this time in your life. Indeed what happens to nature happens to us, eventually. I am so happy that the leaves grew fresh and green in your life, that the Springtime arrived, eventually. I am so happy for this. It is always a joy to share all your works with you, be they walls, workman's tools or the most beautiful iris flowers in colour ;-) Hugs. Diane.

Another brilliant b&w shot! Love your commentary. All the paths our lives are leading are shrouded in mystery. Would one want to know what is around the next corner! I cannot answer that. Let us hope all our futures are happy ones! A superb piece of photography, Egmont. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday. Eileen xx

Love these automn leaves photos, and the thoughts they give birth too. At our age and condition we cannot but ponder Life can be fragile as the leaves of your photo,we can but wish for a new spring, in which fom it may arrive.

Well, Egmont, I'd prefer this one of the latest two. Probably for the way the central leave is arranged. Anyway, another excellent work of yours.
cameraobscura2
Thank you for your comment Nikolay, however I should tell you that I never rearrange how I find things in nature, always leaving it as it is and only setting up the camera to give the image the best composition.
JillianElf
Nature does create the best compositions :) It is there is our eyes will look, and you eye is amazing. Wonderful capture and thoughts.
babuinodeoro

Another superb photograph. The tones and lighting are beautiful bringing out the textures of the leaves. I love your commentary too - you have such feeling in your words and so much wisdom - you have been blessed with a second chance, which most things in nature do not get and I am so pleased to see you grabbing life with both hands and sharing a piece of that with us. Thank you for your inspiration. xx

This shot matching so well with your troubled health. We tend to turn away or show our back to the fact lies ahead of us like this leaf on a ground.
