Description
Forgive my somewhat cynical approach to life, but sometimes I can actually see the reasoning behind hand-held, ground -to-air missiles.
Being at the receiving end of the ordnance carried by these metal behemoths cannot be
much fun. Especially if you become what's jocularly known in the trade as 'collateral damage'.

ehehehehe.... cool idea, beautiful PoV and a good render. Well done!

The beautiful thing about the Apache, is what the gunner sees, the chaingun hits, so collateral damage is held to a minimum. Got a gun in your hand? You die, Standing right next to him, you don't.

Ever heard of 'friendly fire'?

Awesome looking piece of air power! -James

Good image, love the low lighting. If you were actually looking at a heli you would not see the rotors, can you make the next one with just the hint of the rotor blur instead of almost frozen ?
kjer_99
It is a great POV and render--almost like a photo. (Are you sure Bettina didn't take the picture? Grin) I agree about the rotor blur; it would be fairly faint and much more blurred. Otherwise, extremely well done. Better than anything I could do, for certain.

IF I HAD A ROCKET LAUNCHER by Bruce Cockburn Here comes the helicopter -- second time today Everybody scatters and hopes it goes away How many kids they've murdered only God can say If I had a rocket launcher...I'd make somebody pay I don't believe in guarded borders and I don't believe in hate I don't believe in generals or their stinking torture states And when I talk with the survivors of things too sickening to relate If I had a rocket launcher...I would retaliate On the Rio Lacantun, one hundred thousand wait To fall down from starvation -- or some less humane fate Cry for guatemala, with a corpse in every gate If I had a rocket launcher...I would not hesitate I want to raise every voice -- at least I've got to try Every time I think about it water rises to my eyes. Situation desperate, echoes of the victims cry If I had a rocket launcher...Some son of a bitch would die >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Your comments are right on. Well done!

I like the subject, although the Apache looks out of place here. Like an ad for a resort.... You have a hand for ominous skies-Use it. Their pilots certainly do it 30 miles from my town. P PS: -The angles of the rotors don't show, and the colour is a little more opaque under the sun -no idea about the technique, just mentioning But I insist: OMINOUS SKIES Keep up the good work !

great! I particularly like the title. Reminds me of a TV adv showing an Army Sgt telling the troops that they aint conquerors, they are liberators ... liberated infrastructure including water, electricity, schools, hospitals, food and safety from IEDs. But according to bushy GOD wants him to be president ... and change the regime from what was to what is now ...
