Description

Well, this is my second submission to the CG Sphere Project. Check out my first here. Same as first, i modeled everything with Hexagon, then rendered with Vue6 ProStudio, and add a light DOF with Photoshop CS2. We're far from Halloween, but it's a request i had so... ;) Hope you like, all comments are welcome as usual :)

The mouth looks pretty large to me. The picture is great, but maybe a different position of the candle can make jack more prominent - as it is, the light from the outer candles are brighter than the light on the inside, which is too bright, IMHO. The upper side is dark, but is not lighted very much from the inside. Not easy to correct, I suppose. Great idea, very well done.

Very unique image. I like the curving ground, echoes well the round shape of 'jack' and the candle holders. The perception of wht is inside and what's outside the pumpkin is confusing. May have to do with the positioning of the candle holders. (I like their position for compositional purpose but their light may be causing the confusion)

I agree with comments from Bantha and ArtPearl regarding lighting. I also was confused initially. After a certain effort, i was able to know what is what and what is where, but maybe you can rearrange the lights so that this effort is not necessary. Anyway, this is indeed a cool image. Very good idea.
