Description

Another shot, snapped 3/9/07, from somewhere deep in the bowels of the El Dorado Nature Center in Long Beach, California. Okay, you've got a bevy of reptiles here, who move at the blinding speed of one-thousandths of a mile per hour, with nothing better to do than bask in the sun all day and/or crawl all over each other; with no source of work other than serving as cartoon, soup or zoo fodder; nor do they have entertainment or hobbies to occupy their time, such as taking pictures and uploading them on the Internet. To me, that's BORING! I'm sure someone out there will counter with some kind of a specious rationale for that lifestyle. Have a propitious weekend!

I'm pretty laid back, but you're right - the turtle's lifestyle does not get a high recommendation, even from me. However, they are amusing to ponder. I believe you are correct, by the way: I see no little masks, so these appear to be of a species other than the Mutant Ninja variety.

Great find Harry, so many of them. I see a baby turtle find a free ride on papa turtle's back...good stuff!
