My name? Eric den Biesen, a Canadian of Dutch ancestry. I'm 46 years young, though I sometimes feel MUCH older. I generally like to model in trueSpace, though I'm learning Carrara and Hexagon as well. Not much free time for it, so anything I'm building progresses REAL slowly. :( I like to illustrate my tales of the Imperium with Poser and/or Bryce, or that story's prequel, Siren's Song, the story of the Human/Mer first Contact. Neither story is more than outline, and bits are told through the pics I do. And because it's fun, of course. :)

Very good pose, and the smile is really full of life! Where are her rank insignia? Amazing background and I like the lights too!

Ah, that where I'm still stuck. No naval uniforms anywhere. I'm using Shadow Dancer with it's original black texture, since it's fairly close to what I want, but I'm not really good enough with textures to add insignia without ruining it. I do wish someone would do a Naval tex or two for SD though. Since it's available for just about all the DAZ figures, it would make a good uniform if it's creater had included a jacket, it would have been perfect. :)

Good simple and bright character piece.

I think you got the guilty look in her face very nicely. Really charming moment.

Well I didn't think she was suited for work ;) but she looks absolutely gorgeous here in this excellently lit and detailed scene! Thankyou so much for dedicating this to me also, it was a lovely surprise and has made not my day but my Week!!

Wonderfully spirited piece! (^_^)

the set, pose and expression are perfect! I would however work a bit on the lighting and shadows to make her look more a part of the set. Just a suggestion.

Nicely done!

Love the composition and lighting. She seems a little bit sharp so I would go,if it was me, over the outlines such as her body, clothing, facial features using the soften tool (I know psp has one not sure about PS). That way she stays sharp but the edges just soften up slightly and tend to blend in a little bit better. Hope that helps :O)

Good scene there. Try to relax the hands and fingers . Hope that helps.

A really natural looking picture. That is very hard to do well. You did it! Great work! I think some people would like the shadow on the floor to be a little darker, but it looks fine on my monitor. I know about the lack of good uniforms! I had to make my own to get one I like! Good luck on find some that don't break the bank!

Really nice bright scene. Great posing, lighting and texturing. I like the slight reflection of the flooring. My only slight criticism is that the lighting seems a bit too uniform for indoors. I think deeper, darker shadows in corners could give the scene more depth. I would also be inclined to blur all the far background to give even more depth.
Greywolf Starkiller
It's not that uniforms will break the bank, it's that there are no SciFi naval uniforms at all! I'm looking for something like the Manticoran Naval uniforms from the Honor Harrington series. They fit the retro style of the Imperium. :)
Sivana
A real great SciFi-Scene with a good character and I also like her way of smiling!! My only point "critique" is certainly a question of my personal taste: I would vote another character-texture which is not so sunkissed (redish)within the silver-blue room.

great, natural pose. you've definitely caught the sense of this being a slice of time, and of her friendship with the person behind the camera. nice lighting, and great use of stonemason's scene. my suggestion for insignia: see if you can find some free (to use) pictures of modern insignia, maybe combine some elements, and add that to the shadow dancer textures. and if you can, make a displacement map for it, too. that hair looks great on her. oh, and i like the use of shadowdancer for uniforms. with a bit of accessorizing, i think it fits a very special ops look. to my eye, her very pink/orange skin tone clashes a bit with the environment, and seems an odd look with red hair, but that's a very minor point. i'm very impressed at how natural you got her to look.
Greywolf Starkiller
Yeah, Shadow Dancer is one of the most versatile outfits out there. The only millenium figure without one is Stephanie Petite, though the creater mentioned in a thread on the DAZ forums, that she would correct that omission. :) Both Star Trek and the US Navy use rank insignia on the sleeves, and I'll likely try that. I like the Manticoran Black & Gold color scheme, I'll have to try something similar.

Beautyfull. Love the sharpness and all the stunning details. For me this is really fantastic.
