Haven't been around so much lately, been busy doing other things. Good to be back!
I made this a while ago, but wasn't sure that I liked it. Looking at it again, I thought it was OK :)
I've tried to get the effect of a rainy day, without actually showing the rain (with a texture effect on cylinders surrounding the scene etc.), for two reasons: First, it's only when the rain is quite heavy that you can actually see the falling drops, lighter rain just produces a misty atmosphere, and second, the rain textures don't look good, they just ruin the picture. At least I can't make a good one, and I've never seen convincing examples in the work of others.
Instead, I've made a "raindrop" bump texture (Photoshop) for the water, and if you think about it, that's often what you do if you wan't to know if it is raining: You look at the puddles for ripples!
Toolbox: Vue 5 Infinite, Onyxtree, G3D "Twig" & "Grass" and Photoshop for minor postwork.
House by "zippy" and wooden hut by "svenart" - thanks a lot.
All plants modeled & textured by me.
Rendered in about 8 hrs., "Broadcast" with Global Illumination.

I love this, for the composition, atmosphere and plants. You are really good at plants, really good and the addition of the snails is perfect. I like the subtle effect of the rain on the pond too. Beautiful!
