I have been photographing women, landscapes, and points of historical interest for the past 30 years. As an all-American guy, my favorite subjects have been all-American girls. The women I have photographed are the proverbial "girl next door." They are brides, moms, co-workers, relatives and friends. Some pictures are old, some are newer, but I hope you enjoy all the pictures of these wonderful ladies. BTW: I'll even throw in a landscape or something historical.

Great pic. Looks like a pre or early WWII model the "meatball" insign was discontinued for obvious reasons. Later models had six guns which reduced the ammo load that pilots didn't like. Despite that it couldn't compete with the Zero in speed or agility it had armor and tactics were developed and it held the line. When the F-4U and A-6 came into service the Zero became obsolete. Grumman had a "cat" logo with alot of their aircraft littlecat, wildcat, hellcat, tigercat, bearcat, panther, tomcat, agcat, etc.

@vkoontz: It's actually a later model General Motors FM-2 Wildcat painted to look like an early Grumman F4F-3. Hard to tell which model from this angle since the main visual difference is the tail. The FM-2 was much lighter and faster than the six gun F4F-4/FM-1 and went back to the four .50 cal. machine gun armament. See the first Wildcat post on page 1 of my gallery.
