Description

So I'm talking to Normy, and I say, "I'm gonna go post something. What would you like to see?" And he says, "Trees would be a change . . . any willow trees?" So there ya go, darlin'! A willow tree, just for you. Yikes! ............ I took this photograph a couple of months ago while I was walking around the block with my camera. (Don't worry - it's on a leash at all times!) The stream wanders through my neighborhood, and actually runs right through my property.

Willows are a favorite. We don't have the wheeping willow much here because of the dry and hot conditions but growing up in Ohio, I used to love to hide up in the branches. Gorgeous shot.

It's a beauty, Tara. It looks like you caught it in early spring, just after it leafed out. I love the light green of new leaves.

Besides birch trees being my favorite, willows come in a very close second, even when the two cannot be compared because of their structural differences. For the birch is strong and erect, the willow is passive, bending her branches to the embrace of the breeze. At least that is ow I see our willow in the front yard. Thank you for sharing. egmont

Oh, that's what that tree is! I had a shot or two in my database of the very same arboreal lovely but didn't know what to call it, which is normal for me. In any event, that is a terrific POV and DOF, with fine colors and lighting effects in this wonderful capture, mon cheri!

I love the Weeping Willow Trees. This brings back memories that we had a lot of them near the hotels. I'll have to check if we still have them. It is just an eye pleaser to see this. Excellent shot. Aloha

Where I grew up, we had a rather large lagoon with weeping willows all around it. These trees were old and very large. When young it was a great place to play, as I got older it was a nice place to sit and think.
