Description

Here is a quickie for Saturday. This is the anther from the stamen of a lily flower. You can see the pale green filament swooping away to the left. I know it is rather large, but I felt it was better to see all of the detail in this case rather than the whole image on your monitor. Even so, this is about half the resolution of the original. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Looks like an orange loofah, I guess you just have to shrink yourself first, before using it ? Fine macro and hues ! ~Cheers~ :o)

Super color and lighting in this super macro shot of the anther! Good contrast against the black background. When I first saw it I thought it was part of a fern plant that had been dipped in a bucket of cranberry juice.

Love the color and detail. It resembles the tiny blooms on lichen which grow on my wooden fence but unfortunately I cannot capture with my current camera!

Amazing view. Rotate it on its side, with the stem at the top, and it appears to be some kind of fancy mop. About as close of a stamen as Ive seen.
