Description

Many thanks to Oshyan Greene and Jay Testerman for their advice on getting tree shadows to appear; fine tuning fill lights to enhance the terrain dark shadow areas; and, a number of other issues I've encountered here. Critique: Grass clumps are too high on the terrain. Adjusting the altitude and slope constraints to a minimum did not help. They same issue applies to the Xfrog trees. The colors of both the grass clumps and trees are not to my liking. This will be my last post until I get a new PC up and running.

I really like the cloud shape and placement- wonderful surface textures/shaders. Excellent work Bob.

The terrain, lighting and clouds are amazing! But i think the trees and grass look out of place in this desert. Very well done though

Terregen is somewhat difficult to get expected results, so anything looking good is a feat in itself. I agree about the plants but everything else is superb!

I love the cloud trail. Detail in the "Photo" is excellent. Great job on the "terraced" landscape, a fine touch Bob.

Marvelous results Bob! Is this TG2? I tried working with it, but gave up. The interface is quite confusing and not very user friendly! I commend anyone who can get results like this from it!!

I like especially the realistic looking sky and the terrain-formation. By the way, you are making an astonishing progress working with TG2.

Great work, Bob: the clouds look fantastic! - I see what you mean about the shrubbery. I'm eschewing their use until I learn more - or the real TG2 is released. Good luck with the new computer!

Hey Bob, strata, sky and lighting are very cool! I Agree about vegetation humbling.. generally speaking it's difficult for me to use vegetation to that point of tgd developement. i got 100% crash rate every time i used vegetation :((( Best Regards Max

Lighting, sky, and mood are superb on this fine landscape artwork. The trees are a neat addition in that they help impress on our minds the true size and scale of this amazing vista, Excellent creation Bob!!!

Yep have to agree - amazing progress on your TG2 stuff. Floating grass is an issue here but on the whole this image has a lot of potential. Get the trees right and you'll be home and hosed. I look forward to your next one when your computer is up and running. Nice to see your stuff again. :B
