Description

So i went down to the local skatepark yesterday to see if there were any good skaters around and i was in for a treat - just walked up to the main group and asked if they minded taking shots and they were fine with it and even told me what they were doing and where so i could get in position etc. Then some obscene bikers came along later - but i am jumping ahead of myself... this was one of my favourite shots out of the skaters, as i could actually set it up - the best skater there who was pulling mad tricks all over the place was rather non-compliant with setting the shots up (although he said it was fine to take the shots) - owing to an increased level of "existance" ;) I'm not sure exactly what this guy was pulling in this shot but it looked like a kickflip varial from what i saw of it... (kickflip is the first proper trick you learn (where the board spins on it's axis under your feet) but basically in this trick you grab the nose after the spin and turn it 180 so that it is the "tail" when you land) Pretty cool trick, and he got some nice air on it too. I know a bit about it because i tried skating once but at 6'5", balance is a rather key issue and also leg-eye coordination is rather low because anything my brain tells my feet to do takes a long time ;) Anyway, thanks for taking a look enjoy! Rich
