Description

This will be a test of my monitor calibration - i recently acquired (as it didnt fit anywhere in the house after my mum grabbed a very good bargain) a 23" widescreen TV which doubles as a computer screen - so i have been using it instead of my 14" dell default monitor (as one would expect ;)) This looks fine on my screen but i am uploading from my mum's computer and her screen is a bit dark and the colours look a bit too purple for my liking but hey, tell me what you think :) I'm not around much at the moment - i am planning my trip to Peru - some nurse stabbed me with a syringe on friday and i'm wondering about malaria tablets and such like... some of you may or may not know but i am leaving at the end of the month (27th June) for 3 months to do an archaeological project in the Sacred Valley (Machu Picchu area) - i will obviously be taking my camera and there is some promise of internet but i doubt i will be around much anyway. So yeah - just a heads up i suppose, i'll be around for about 2 weeks yet :) Anyway - hope you like my little play around with a childhood fascination of a toy :) Rich

Well the colours look a pinky/purple to me with a touch of peachy/red on the ends (now there's a great description for you eh?? LOL!) but whatever the colour is supposed to be for you, this is still a stellar shot. I love these things and often have a play with my son's - they never cease to amaze me!! I'm looking forward to seeing many of your photos from Peru when you get the chance to upload them, but will miss your critique while you are away - but take care!! xx

I have a plasma ball too and this looks fine so I think you're safe to use that monster of a screen! Great work!

It look as if it's something from the very darkest depths of the ocean!! Great shot! I am sure you will have a fantastic time in Peru, especially at Machu Picchu! It is the most magic place on earth, I think, especially in the early hours of the morning when it is so peaceful!! I really look forward to seeing your photos when you return. Have a great time! I used to love Plasma balls in my...erm...youthfull illicit intoxication days....great photo mate. Also, muchly wishing you good luck and safe journey to Peru, with a tad of jealousy thrown in to boot. Enjoy mate. Have fun :-) PS. Watch out for Aztec/Inca/Mayan gods. Just keep some gold on you at all times, throw it in the nearest body of water to appease them.
