Description

Before there was the Terminator or Robocop there was this guy, Deathlok the Demolisher from Marvel comics. In Astonishing Tales #25, Luther Manning, a colonel in the US army becomes critically injured and has his brain, nervous system, and still living tissue transplanted into a synthetic body. Given the code-name Deathlok, Manning becomes a cybernetic assassin in a post- apocalyptic future. I happened to stumble across several comic issues (#30-#36) and found the saga to be a very interesting read so I decided to create my own 3D interpretation of the character. I will go into more of the technical details in my next post.
