I am no longer active here. Too many restrictions and unpleasant interactions with admin.
In addition I now focus on traditional art, which is very neglected on this site.

About my Art - Watercolor, Poser &Vue I have been painting mainly with transparent watercolor on paper. Most of my paintings depict hypothetical situations and imaginary scenes, striving to capture ideas and moods rather then a resemblance to specific places or people. On many occasions more than one way forward suggest themselves either from the onset or during the painting process. I like to explore these possibilities in different paintings and thus I have several ongoing themes (Some examples of themes I worked on are shown in the image above). I started useing Poser and then Vue mainly to set up virtual models and/or scenes which are then painted in watercolor. The CG images were supposed to be only an intermediate stage, but I now got the CG bug, and I'm trying to make these images a 'product ' on their own accord. Feedback is really very important to me. I appreciate any form of it: comments on the impact the images had on you (or saying it had none), things you enjoyed, things you hated, any artistic aspects - (composition, color, lights & shadows etc.) - any technical comments( eg Poser/Vue issues) and anything else you find relevant. If you dont know a lot (or at all) about Watercolors, Poser or Vue, please dont let it deter you from leaving a comment. Just comment on what you see and what it made you feel or think. You could also ask questions, and if I know how to answer - I will.

Interesting work. I only find the shadows confusing. A little chaotic.

Very nice!!!

Very moving. I can really empathize, being a worrier myself. My only criticism is that the bust looks like it is resting in an unstable attitude.

I think the scene is great. The shadows which I think are being cast by the walls (not using a ceiling I assume) and the only ones that are too much. The rest are perfect. It really reminds me of the scene in The Wall where Pink is in his living room. Not that it looks similar, but that it gives the same feeling. Great work!

The concept is fine and really moving. I think the chaotic sensation is basically motivated from the different sources of lights on the scene. Once, its resolved, the scene will work better.

ok, i'm going to be the only one slightly confused by this. i like that, mind you, but i do find it confusing. why is the room almost totally bare? why did she take off her shoes when the floor looks so cold and hard? where in the heck did that bust come from ? is that a reflection in the wall on the left? if so, where's the what is it reflecting? and if it's a shadow, why is it white? where is the light coming from? the curtain says this is out doors, but is it? visually, this raised tons of questions for me. i like that. also like the inventive use of orange and teal. usually, you see that combination in very airbrushed and soft works, and used very differently than in this picture. i'd be very interested to see if you make this into a watercolor. thanks so much for sharing your work.

This is very good. Indeed visually confusing but that's the beauty of it. The shadowplay is very good as well. The floating statue gives an extra touch of surrealism. Even here the message is confusing (which is good), as it's not 100% obvious if the statue is floating or just supported on the ground by a small piece of it. Regarding the worrying part... I try to do as an old chinese proverb: "don't cross the bridge until you come to it". But I would also worry if I would see a floating statue in my living room! :-)

Very effective. I actually think I understand it. Confusion in the creative process can be very worrisome. Like you don't know what people will think ... do you have a block, questioning your ability. It all comes into play. You've depicted it very well here. Good Work. :)

Hmmm. I'm not really a worrier. I'm more the 'Don't worry, Be happy" type. Though, the way the world is going these days.... I consider the figure is worrying about the state of the world, and the chaotic shadows, upended bust etc, is a pretty good example of the mess the world is in today. Probably a bit deeper thought than you meant, but I'm feeling a bit peckish these days. :)

Danish surrealist (and friend of mine) Helmuth Goede once said, "Surrealism questions the world. It doesn't answer anything. Never mind the answers, what are the questions?" I think this piece is a perfect example of that.
