I am no longer active here. Too many restrictions and unpleasant interactions with admin.
In addition I now focus on traditional art, which is very neglected on this site.

About my Art - Watercolor, Poser &Vue I have been painting mainly with transparent watercolor on paper. Most of my paintings depict hypothetical situations and imaginary scenes, striving to capture ideas and moods rather then a resemblance to specific places or people. On many occasions more than one way forward suggest themselves either from the onset or during the painting process. I like to explore these possibilities in different paintings and thus I have several ongoing themes (Some examples of themes I worked on are shown in the image above). I started useing Poser and then Vue mainly to set up virtual models and/or scenes which are then painted in watercolor. The CG images were supposed to be only an intermediate stage, but I now got the CG bug, and I'm trying to make these images a 'product ' on their own accord. Feedback is really very important to me. I appreciate any form of it: comments on the impact the images had on you (or saying it had none), things you enjoyed, things you hated, any artistic aspects - (composition, color, lights & shadows etc.) - any technical comments( eg Poser/Vue issues) and anything else you find relevant. If you dont know a lot (or at all) about Watercolors, Poser or Vue, please dont let it deter you from leaving a comment. Just comment on what you see and what it made you feel or think. You could also ask questions, and if I know how to answer - I will.

very interesting piece. One thing that catches my eye though is near the center of the image where the yellow tones meet the red. It looks (for a lack of a better word) blotchy. Like you werent really sure what to do at that point. Maybe the collision of the two colors is intentional. I am curious as to what dimensions the original is.

By being an scanned picture, I guess were looking, more or less, at half the original image quality. Anyway, I can see a good colour distribution, and a well balanced composition. Theme is quite good also, sort of abstract and surrealism combination; its curious, you can feel invited and rejected at the same time by the image. Would like a bit more luminosity for colours, same as contrast on brighter areas, but then I realize that scanning tends to uniform lights and colours. I guess that since watercolors need a meticulous preparation, and it must be done within minutes, this one should have demanded great skills and precision. Thanks for sharing!!!

i didn't comment on this at first because i wasn't sure what to make of it. i'm still not sure, but i do wish i could sit with it a while in real life. it seems ethereal and peaceful to me, and oddly reminiscent of being underwater. i like where other colors meet the yellow. the shapes on the left make me think of architecture, and what seems to be white arches makes me think of the mediterranean. it's lovely, thank you for sharing it.

Really gorgeous color. I love the transition from warm color/city/angular to cool color/wilderness/roundness - safety to doubt, it makes me think. Very cool painting as always.

Very good. The way how the diferent tones from the various corners unite in the center is very well achieved. The depiction of the town is great.
