Description
This is what I have so far in my attempt to recreate an Ork figure from WH40K. So for those of you that are familiar with "The Look", let me know if I am getting close.
Once it is all perfected, I will make sure to work up an action image using the little green skinned sons 'o spoors.

Calico1 - The character is assembled from existing models that can be found at Daz3d with the exception of the Bolter gun which can be found in the Freepository forum at the same site. I believe I just have an eye for arrangement.

This is an authentic looking WH40K Ork, ready to whoop some Marines ! I wonder if the green Freak skin texture wouldn't suit him better ? Just a thought as I used to paint mine that way. BTW I believe the German army used these type of helmets and really fits this Ork perfectly ! ~Cheers~ :o)

Glad you liked it Jif3d. I look forward to creating a combat scene with this fellow and some some altered friends of his. Truth be told, we just need some actual WH40K characters with kit created specifically for Poser. Space Marine, Ork, Tau, Eldar, Tyranid and Necrons. An addon pack would include 1 specialty unit from each race like a Dreadnaught for the Space Marines and a Crisis Battlesuit for the Tau. It would also contain two vehicles for each race. A second addon pack might contain a largery selection of weaponry and some custom textures to enhance the races. Such are more chapter colors for the Marines. Third pack might be secondary races such at the Kroot for the Tau, Grots for the Orks, Mechanicus for the Marines and such. Fourth pack would be Chaos Marine specific. Anyway, that is my dream package of models for Poser...

Well done... I'd say bigger more cartoony eyes... maybe loose the helmet. Other than that... spot on...

One thing I would say is that it could be more exaggerated. Just looking at the dawn of war intro and the orks in that seem to have shortish legs and more gorilla-like arms. Looking great though....

Looks great! I used the ork fron Sixus1 and the Space Orc add-on, great for distance shots.

huddo is right. The Orks (WAAAAAAGH!) have a much stockier build. Proportionatly longer arms, a Richer Green colour, the jaw needs to be larger than the cranium and the eyes should be 'glowing' red. Otherwise Top Work!! ;-)
