Description
My local Fort. I have been going there to take photos the last couple of weeks of the cygnets, but a few days ago noticed the reflection from the fort in the moat.
Now I'm going there for the cygnets and reflections! Lol... It's all practice...
Taken from an article online (I'm not that good at describing history) "Fort Brockhurst is one of the

I love reflective photos. This is a great one! :-)

Nice capture but still a point of criticism: it is a pity that the roof is a big white surface without any detail. Roof, air and grass are too light caused by overexposure of the photograph. One stop underexposure and than it would have been a good photograph.

Nice reflective image, can't wait to see your swan reflections if this is anything to go by.

Forget the crticism, one stop underexposure would have caused a loss of quality of the water reflection, either way then it would have needed re-touching, then it not a natural photo. Considering you only have a point and shoot camera I think its great, keep it up. More skill is needed tp produce an almost perfect picture "on the hoof" than a perfect one edited to death.

Very interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful capture!

Interesting they would build a fort so far down so they could not see both water and over the hill. Nice shot!

A beautiful shot and lovely reflections! It would be nice to see some more pics of this fort from different angles as it looks like such an interesting place! Wonderful composition Tracey!

Thank you all for your comments and ratings. They are all appreciated. As for the critism, I'll be brutally honest... I have no idea what 'one stop underexposure' is! The roof is actually a VERY light grey (almost off white) colour anyway. So any would pic up sun reflections? And thank you mygizmo for noticing that I do indeed have a 'point and shoot' camera... Lol...

This a wonderful shot! Photographing in the noonday sun (I want to start singing "Mad Dogs and Englishmen.") is always a challenge as there are no shadows or yellow light to soften the glare. The nice part of ol' Pam's Folley is that it has left some very cool forts for you to photograph.
