Description
Revisiting an earlier idea (after some helpful advice from you guys - thanks):
A cargo transport is attempting to flee from a group of missiles homing in. After slingshotting around a planet, the missles keep coming. Last ditch effort: Drop some decoys. But the missles don't seem to be falling for it...
Mostly done in Bryce, with help from Lunarcell and Glitterato and Photoshop CS.

Very believable space composition~ Nice layering of foreground, midground and distant background. =) On another note, those of us who saw live on tv, broadcast of the first moonwalk are sorely disappointed at the near non-progress since then. We fully expected to be established in space by now, at least in our own solar system a few planets out. (You didn't know that, did you, those who came later?) Planetwide squabbling, hoarding and gross misuse of resources (monetary and otherwise), poor management of many nations in general (USA included) have kept us as a cognizant, intelligent, capable species from achieving that goal. As much of what Asimov, and others wrote of Technology-wise has come true (some of our terms for new technology has even come from them because they had the idea and named it first!) their grandest so-very-reachable vistas have not. As one of their generation, I apologize for our failings, and I hope the upcoming generations can see the way and the NEED to ACHIEVE!

Very nice ship design. Of course, if the cargo was purchased by the captain as speculative cargo, dumping the pods could lose them the ship as sure as a missile hit. "Burn the land and boil the sea; you can't take the sky from me..."
