Description

It's Father's Day around the world...a time to remember our Fathers and those who were the Father figure in our lives. My Daddy was my hero...A stern man yet a gentle loving soul. His kids were his pride and joy and although we never got everything we wanted, we always had waht was needed. He worked hard all his life to make sure we never went without. He was a Cincinnati Red's fan until the day he died and I am almost willing to bet that when the Red's are playing heaven is watching. Daddy loved to travel and we were fortunate enough to take many vacations with him. He taught me how to do gardening work as I worked right by his side as a child. But most of all, he taught me that truth always wins, that honesty although can hurt at times is always the path to take...He stood up for what he believed in, he never faltered, he led a full life and he did it his way...In July of 2003 he was told he had a fast moving cancer, he was 75 and 2 weeks later I stood at his bed side as he lay dying and i brushed his brow lightly with my hand and said..."Did you ever know you are my hero...and I love you Daddy, I always will." Happy Father's Day Daddy, your little girl misses you! Background made in Bryce by me. Rest made in PSP 8.

I was with my father on his last day here on earth. It was his choice because he didn't want machine support and choose not to be hooked up. Kidney failure. He was actually rather young but very ill. I think about him at times. Anyway, wonderful Dedi to a great man. Hugs and a bravo Marlene, from Dave :^)

You were fortunate to have such a wonderful man for your father, and he was fortunate to have you for his daughter. He was a handsome man, your mom was beautiful!

Hadn't been able to look through Renderosity files in awhile. After you wrote a comment on Aug 24th, I thought I'd see what you have been up to. I had to check out this picture. I went to the mountains to see if I wanted to move up there... I ended up staying at my Mother's cabin. She died of cancer 6 years ago. While I was at the cabin looking at her "dream home" that she and I built, I couldn't help but be angry at myself for letting it run down. I spent the next four and a half months there. I spent every second I could to help in the maintanance of the cabin. My older cousin knew why I was there, but when she came up two months while I was there, she told me I shouldn't be there. I did the cabin a lot of good. I know my Mother would of loved it and if she is able to see what I did, she would feel so great to have a son like me... but in the process, I lost my cousin and I don't care to ever talk to her again... I feel she has spread rumors about me... I took lots of pictures of before and after at the cabin. I will send those all out to family members to stop the hatred rumor my cousin has brought to life. I guess I decided to write thie long note to you, is to let you know ouf parents will always be with us - even when others won't.
