Description

This is for Sue (alhak), because she asked for an encore when I posted "Finale" the other day! .............. I was able to get these shots easily, since this rhododendron lives in my own front yard. No creeping around necessary! Notice the difference in the color between the bud and the full flower. This is not a trick of the light - the change is pretty dramatic. The flowers get paler and paler as they go along. ............. The image is nice and big, so if you click on full view, you can see each photo individually.

Wonderful compo and presentation, Tara. You're perfectly right about the colors; I always like the buds on this variety better than the blossoms, because the color is so concentrated in the buds that it seems washed out in the blossoms.
