Description

Another iris shot from Walsterway Iris Gardens in Maltby, Washington. There's a bit of postwork in this one! Some it is is obvious, of course - I didn't shoot this against a black and white background. But can you see along the left side of the flower where I painted? My photo actually cut off the tiniest edge of the left-most white petal and about half of the dark yellow one below it, as well as a tiny sliver of the bottom of the flower. I had a lot of fun with this one.

Well, ya coulda fooled me with all of your clever slicing and dicing! And I'm an old hand at this kinda stuff! Fantastic colors, manipulation, lighting effects, detail and contrasts in this excellent Saturday Evening Post styled composition, my dear! Love those Iris serrated petal edges!
