Does anyone have a clue to what this is??????
UPDATE ON THIS CURIOUS THING...
It's a: "Blue poppy anemone" after the flower
has gone...
"The genus anemone is conformed by 120 species of perennial plants or herbs
of the buttercup family native to the eastern Mediterranean area and Asia minor .
Anemone comes from a Greek word "anemos" that means wind so it is also called "windflower"
*(it has fruits that often bear long "hairy styles" that aid their distribution by the wind*)"

Amazing! I have no clue. Is this growing in your yard? Maybe if you take it to the 'county extension office' someone could identify it. If you find out what it is, I would be curious to know.

You got me there. I have no clue at all what it is. Maybe you discovered a new flower! Then you can name it after yourself. Perhaps you should call it Akemia woolifolium, lol.
