Description
This is another iris from Walsterway Iris Gardens in Maltby, Washington. Ann and I spent an afternoon there over our Memorial Day weekend.
This is another one that came out needing basically no postwork. (I took about three hundred iris photos that day - some of them were bound to be good without any help!) I may have hit the "sharpen" button once, and of course I added the matting and title.

Woo hooo, I see this and shouted 'I've got some something like that'... Ok, I don't mean the shot, I mean the flower... I have some appeared in my borders that my youngest daughter planted a couple of years ago. A double iris I think? Have tried a couple of shots, but can't get it right! Lol Anyway... Beautiful shot. Love the presentation as well.

What a wonderful title! The glow is so inviting, inviting the pollinator inside, to where the sexual secrets are.............it's lovely These pics speak most to me when they tell a story, and your pictures certainly do.

With the ruffled white effect, this shot has taffeta and weddings written all over it! Lovely ephemeral ambiance in this neato macro, Tara! And, in contrast to the others who feel that doing no postwork is their ultimate goal and some kind of artistic badge of honor, I love postwork and use it whenever and wherever I can. Incidentally, did you ever see the beautiful Nicole Kidman sans makeup? Like blah washed out plain Jane!

c'est toujours tr difficile de photographier des fleurs blanches ou jaunes pour avoir une bonne exposition avec le numique car une le surexposition enle tous les dails et je pense qu'il aurait fallu sousexposer d'un diaphragme pour avoir un meilleur dail de la partie centrale

A terrific macro captured of a most beautiful flower-- White is indeed a difficult colour to capture, and yet you have masterfully done so more than gracefully! I love the way the light sneaks in and illuminates the centre. It has such a soft and warm glow to it! A glorious photograph, my friend! Bravo!
