Description

The answer is, "No! Of course not!" Sometimes the stars all line up and you get something you never intended! This is NOT a composite image. Ann was standing a little bit away from me, in the next row over, bending down to read a tag. That's her hand and forearm you see. She's actually not very close to this flower at all. The stem on the iris must be off to the left and in back of the bloom. Makes it look like this blossom is floating. I SWEAR I did nothing to create this effect! Of course I could have done a plain background, made this more artistic and less snap-shot-like. (It's such a great flower, I may yet do that!) But I have a million photos of beautiful flowers. I couldn't pass this up.

...you can't fool me --- that's the fabled 'Giant Yellow Northwestern Fluffy-Edged Begoniasaurus ' - highly sought after and coveted by flower hunters .......quit hiding it ! ----give it to the world .

It's beautiful, but are you sure Ann wasn't shaking hands with a garden gnome, or stealing the fish off his little rod?

Fantastic capture!!!! This is a true beauty! A tremendous effect you have naturally captured, I actually like the forearm in the photograph, as it gives us an idea of dimension, or perhaps distorts it..hehe... unique and original... fantastic texture and colours! Thank you so much for sharing with us, such a phenomenal image!

I love the frilly serrated petal edges on this humungous flower! A prize winner to be sure! Ann must have felt like a Lilliputian in comparison. Again, wonderful bright color, lighting, POV and contrast in this momentous capture, Tara!

Excellent and fun! I love images that are fun, and especially spontaneous! You could try to set up a shot like this and it just wouldn't come out this well. It's a winner Tara!
