Description

This sign really was up near the top of Cascade Head. The side we hiked up was steep, but the west side, facing the ocean, was a vertical cliff. This sign was way too accurate a representation of what it actually looked like. :-) Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

Whenever I see a signpost like this, it reminds me of when I was walking along the coastal path near Whitby in Yorkshire with my dad. We found a signpost stuck right into the overhang of the cliff that said "NO FISHING BEYOND THIS POINT". Below the sign it was just hundreds of feet of nothing.

Wondeful sign! I'm glad to know that cliffs are hazardous. Henceforth I shall refrain from frolicking too close to the edge of any cliffs I come across! (You've brightened my morning considerably!)

What a clever way to warn people off! The background reinforces the idea by showing obviously close grasses and obviously distant water. Thanks for the grin!
