Description

The sunlight and bright sky at Cascade Head gave me an opportunity to try a High Dynamic Range image. This is a composite of one exposed for the land and one exposed for the sky/sea. I realize it's not that interesting a subject, but I was really just trying to see what I could do. I don't think it turned out too bad. This is one where I'd really like to have comments about how to improve. This is my first HDR, so I'm still a bit lost. Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

Well I can't offer advice on how to improve because to me this is perfect. The exposure, by using two shots, is fantastic - the sky is amazing with real depth in the clouds. I don't think it's uninteresting either. I think it has a lovely tranquil mood to it and I would love to be just sat on that grass right now with a little picnic maybe. Top marks from me Dennis. xx

This is a very cool experiment in HDRI, the end result demonstrates a surreal lighting that exposes everything perfectly! I would love to learn how to do this!

The exposure came out pretty good with only two pictures. I think most of the HDR software packages use many exposures to up the range. Very nice job.

I have no idea what you're talking about, so . . no techie help here! However, I like the lines in this. There's a lot of movement, places for the eye to go, lines and angles to follow. The folds of the land against the straight horizon of the ocean and the random edges of the clouds makes for an image to be savored!

Fantastic and can't lend any suggestions but I can say that the sea/sky is fantastic in its appearance. The land as well but I'm particularly taken with the results of the sea/sky.

I think it looks great! The contrast between the green of the hillside, and the blue and white of the sky is simply dramatic! Good work!

I know nothing about HDR, but this is amazing. I like the way the ghost of the sun reflects off the water in the very center of the image. Great clouds too!

Nice result out of the HDR test. How many stop gaps did you use?

Don't know how to tell you to improve, but I do like the results.
