Description

I'm dedicating this to TwoPynts, who was the inspiration for me using the Photoshop Anisotropic filter in the postwork for this particular photo. Captured 3/8/07 at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, which contains 300 acres of restored wetlands, located in of all places, beautiful Huntington Beach, California. The reserve supports waterfowl such as avocets, egrets, plovers and the endangered least terns. I walked the entire 4-mile round trip dirt trail during my photo shoot, encountering nary a soul along the way. Hard to believe this is part of beautiful Huntington Beach. As you can gather, the wetlands, besides water, consists of dead trees, scrub brush, stumps, and the like. Thanks for coming by, and your kind and uncritical comments are always welcome.

Woah! Now that is what I call anistropically diffused! It certainly give the wetlands a wet look! ;'] Sounds like a neat area to bring your camera to. Thanks for the dedi and for sharing this.

Well this is terribly unusual and not in a bad way. Very intriguing. Nice job and a good photo to do this with.

Mi amigo querido, it is all I can do to contain myself and maintain the restrained demeanor (and accompanying vocabluary) to which you have become accustomed when speaking with me. I assure you that I am jumping up and down on the inside, and screaming like a teenager! I cannot begin to tell you how impressed I am with the results you have obtained. I give up. THIS IS SO FREAKIN' COOL!!! OMG!!! I LOVE the effect you got on this! You truly are the master of postwork! Wow. Just . . . wow. Sweet!!! (I shall attempt to revert to type in the future.)
