Description

A quick mod of my last image. The jovian planet is another Eric Gehlin job and as big and as distant as I could get it. I used an object mask and added a Glitterato starfield because the one Bryce generated suh-hucked. This is officially my best starfield eh-vah. :)

Great job, Colin, inserting that gas giant! It really helps show the i-boat's vertical stabilizer, which kinda got lost in the background of Escape Vector. IMO, you could achieve an even greater sense of scale (and realism) by shrinking the earth-like moon by 70-90%. That would emphasize both the proximity of your spacecraft and the moon in the foreground, as well as the massive planet behind it. From this perspective, it appears that the i-boat is very close to that moon (depending on its size, of course). Based on your lighting of the interface boat, would it cast a shadow on the cratered surface? Seems like it should. I'm really enjoying what you're doing with this model; keep up the great work!
