My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

LOL!!!!!! This is very strange!!! The only thing I can think of is when it floods, I've seen the salmon crossing the road in the flood waters?? But if that's not it?? go figure????? Great catch!!!!!!

LOLOL Fish Crossing indeed !!!!! and I think it's hilarious too....what in the world are those people thinking....here in Florida we get the occasional walking catfish ....never seen one, but I heard tell of 'em :o) ...and yes, it's a real fish, not one of those fish stories And soooo nice to see another little hobbit here besides me chortling merrily... but ya got me beat by an inch, you taller than moi person, you LOL Ok, didn't mean this to turn into a novella...one of those sleepless, toss n turn nights, soooo where do I go? why my fave little hang out searching for the latest eye candy....ok, you don't have to get the hook, I'm a-goin' :o) Thanks for the groovy and entertaining pic dear Tara! Hugz...whew :o)

I LOVE it! It reminds me of 'No Huntin', No Shootin', No Fission' Thanks for this chuckle!

It makes as much sense as a little town out here putting in tunnels under their roads so the toads can migrate for mating season without being squashed on the road... Love it!
acquilon
ahahahah a sign with the sense of the humor beautiful capture
Cosine
How bizarre! I did some Googling and found a few references, but no explanation. Someone suggested they might be there because of potential flooding, but I don't see why anyone would make that connection. I found a county financial statement noting that they cost a bit over $1600, but it didn't say for how many. Interesting and thought-provoking photo, Tara. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the laugh, Tara Your words were cool to read Makes me want to go fishing maybe a first when a fish flies might end up on the road with me along Sweet weekend to you Awesome work!!!!!

Hmmmm, a very handsome sign, indeed, but, like you, I must ask isn't this going a bit overboard on fish protection (no pun intended)? Admittedly, dead slimy fish on the road could create somewhat of a traffic hazard -- nothing like screeching to a halt on top of the squishy remains of an ichthyoid creature(s). Then again, there are fish that can walk on dry land, and there are also flying fish. So, one never knows, does one? Anyway, fine POV, clarity, and beautiful blue colors in this remarkable capture, Tara!

LOL nice capture...

Now we are hoping we can find one of these today...it would be sooooo much easier than actually "fishing" for fish...LOL Love this Tara and your sense of humor. I am writing our parks and recs department as I comment..;) Hugs,
