Description
The ubiquitous Agapanthus, with buds like cotton swabs, captured 6/23/07 in my condo complex, not too far from my unit.
Ha ha, considering my general lack of knowledge in the flower/plant arena, I bet I surprised most everyone today that I even knew the name of this plant, aka, African Blue Lily, a perennial that comes in blooms of blue, violet blue, and white.
Was very fortunate catching it at this stage, before it sprouts its flowers. I've seen many of them in the half bloom, half bud stage of development, but extremely few as all buds.
Anyway, just thought I'd start off your weekend with a nice happy healthy plant, in contrast to my recent Apocalyptic end of the world uploads.
Thanks for the visit, and for any laudatory comments.

First I spied this lovely image in thumbnail form in the gallery. Then I noticed the title, thought "yes, agapanthus." Then I noticed the artist's name and thought, "Harry? Harry is using the proper name for a flower?" So you were correct in imagining a general atmosphere of surprise, nay, even shock! I am impressed with you anew, my dear. And did I neglect to mention, in my bemused state, what a gorgeous photograph this is? It's quite lovely.
