Description

The city of Breda traditionally had watercanals all around the city, but gradually they disappeared as they were no longer useful. One of the most important watercanals disappeared in the Sixties of the last Century. That decision was regreted ever since..and at the beginning of this Century Breda decided to haverestore at least a part of the former watercanals, just in the middle of the city. Today (June 30, 2007) this water canal was officially opened and the photographs you see here were taken today. For Breda this is a very special event which will be remembered for a very long time I think.
